but sure do remember something like this coming out of the South US. I get my stuff at Costco, who the hell knows where it comes from. I am just a poor boy.

The class action was agains Shell and Texaco because of high concentration of sulfur in the gasoline. It happened in LA and FL. The most common problem was damages to the gas gauge.

I use 93 usually. I never get the 94 only because it costs more. I know of one station that sells 91 but it isn't at a convenient location.

Always use 97 even though the tanks much smaller on the zed compared to my old porsche so it seems cheaper thank god. Even though fuel prices have to stop rising i paid £1.29 a ltr yesterday

where in uk r u that its £1.29 a ltr???

I'm in Cali too and unleaded is 87, mid grade is 89 and super is 91. I always use super 91 and I usually get it from the local 76 station since it is close by. I am not particularly brand specific though...

I got charged the same at a BP when I was around Lancashire last weekend. Unleaded was £1.09 so I expected Super to be around 5p more which it normally is - but only saw how high it was after I'd filled £60 worth (that wasn't even a full tank)!! :x

Most stations only advertise unleaded and diesel prices so I think BP were very deceptive and sly there for charging so much more for Super without clearly stating it :x

Normally Tesco Super 99 as it's where I do the weekly shopping and they occasionally give you £0.05 off per litre if you spend over £50 on food. Otherwise I occasionaly use Shell V Power 98. I've never tried 95 Ron as didn't want to risk rough idling.

The government really should reduce the amount of tax we are paying as it's surely not right that they are earning more tax as the oil companied put the prices up. e.g. if the prices were about £1.05 per litre a few months ago and tax is @ 75% (I don't know the actual figure) = £0.79 tax for the government. While if prices are now £1.19 per litre @ 75% tax = £0.89. In this scenario the government are earning and extra £0.10 per litre which is outragous. They should now reduce the tax level so that they are earning roughly the same tax as before the price rises which would at least soften the blow. Winge over :x

Petrol prices fluctuate so much even within local areas. When I was driving around last weekend I noticed Super unleaded prices range from 114p to 129p

Most were around the 119p mark, with only one place (Sainsbury's) at 114p.

There's something fishy going on when oil companies are 'forced' to raise prices, but then report record profits :x
