Poll! Rear Spoiler????

I like the Alpina spoiler too, but Alpina USA says Aplina Germany told them it won't fit on the M. I am not willing to do a $1000 experiment not including shipping painting and install. The duck tail just looks good on occasions, not all the time, so for me I will be tailess.

PS. It makes opening the boot easier as well! It doubles as a nice handle.

Mine came with the spoiler and I definitely wasn't sure at first and finding a bike rack that fitted over it was a pain, but it has grown on me now and does look great from the rear.

Crucially, from the drivers seat I can't see it.

I could not decide and I know that fitting one might only cover some of the scratch anyway and I will still have to get the boot sprayed, so I said to myself I would go on the general overall vote and as you can all see the result was 61%No to 39% yes
But as Darren said it wouldn't pay for us all to be the same and Nosa has said Each to their own and having looked at more of the members pictures with one on I have ordered one and will have it sprayed at the same time as boot lid, so thanks for all your feedback.

isn't the rear the same as on the other E85's ?? i thought femmeT changed his alpina with a FL rear, and stil has his spoiler.

There was a black ///M on sale on PH recently with an Alpina spoiler I think. I remember not liking the look of it tbh... But each to their own

I have a little time this afternoon. I am going to try and recreate the Schnitzer wing (double one) and report back! Wont be a finished item but will get some idea on what it will look like (may change the design a little. The one thing i dont like is the 'bubble' mounting)

Attempt at shaping something...

Will be having another play around tomorrow with different sizes and try a slimmer shape.
1 it needs to be shorter
2 it needs to be thinner
3 needs shaping

Will keep going with this now till i get something that looks the same!
Will coat it after with fibre glass and finish it up before painting
Give it a week or so and it'll be there!!

So I just got a shipping quote from them... $378.94 JUST TO SHIP IT!!!!
Total amount $486.53 then I stand to have tax as it comes into the UK... :thumbsdown:

Back to making my own!! Plus I think I'll really enjoy doing it! Will keep posted on here

The subtle flick on the bootlid is one of the best parts of the car imo. The spoiler makes the rear end look a bit too busy. If it was smoothed in then it may look better.

I'd be interested to see if anyone's ever had a duck tale type spoiler ie the whole boot lid into a more aggressive flip .... Dd that make an sense ? Ie Porsche-ish but classier

something similar to the m3 csl's bootlid would look great, in my opinion.
