I can only say - if you have any questions, or are unsure, or are just curious about some scientific evidence (and an interesting program!) - checkout that Channel 4 program i linked, it's pretty interesting stuff - you get to see Jon Snow stoned on TV if nothing else.

i would say sack off the ch4 program and go direct to the peer reviewed scientific papers and draw your own conclusions.

18 years old and taking a cocktail of pills. Theres your problem right there.

I have a bad back but I try not to take anything as i'm a man...
Well taking care of all my problems like my knee for instance, helps me as its not so much of a "pain" but rather a distraction while in class and not moving around. And the pain in my knee doesn't help when my line of work isn't exactly sitting in a desk all day. More often than not im working with my hands and on my knees under trailers and at factory's moving shipping containers, changing 18 wheel tyres ect ect. And the pills for my mood and what not im sure you understand that that can effect me on a daily basis.
Pills for migraines helps as without them i could have a migraine ranging from a couple of hours to an entire day sometimes till the next day. (Try taking notes on a board in class from a distance with blurred vision and a pain in your head.) and sleeping pills because I wake up at 5:15am and drive myself to school and work everyday. Im sure driving with no sleep and potentially falling asleep while driving is much more dangerous than being high.. (I don't drive while high) so ya that's kind of an explanation as to why I need those medications.

well, of course you are correct - though i suspect persuading people who are pretty stubbornly against the concept to watch TV is easier than persuading them to read the scientific papers. Having written a few - they're not the easiest things to digest.

Then you need to write with greater clarity old chap. Those I have penned epitomise literary elegance :P

After my previous trite comment, I've just read through some of the earlier posts. Regardless of your opinion as to whether drugs should be legalised for medical and/or recreational use, there is solid evidence that repeated use of cannabis has a strong association with mental health problems, typically those conditions that lie on the schizophrenic spectrum.
In some cases, that association is in the form of substance misuse following the development of mental health problem. In a great many, prolonged exposure to cannabis precipitates the first presentation of psychotic episodes in someone previously well. Whilst the use of cannabis alone may not be enough for a person to endure such a breakdown if they are not already vulnerable to pschosis, for those predisposed the increase in risk is astronomical with prolonged exposure.
OP, as a person who has bipolar disorder, you have already declared yourself vulnerable to developing psychosis. I strongly suggest that you seek assistance to end your cannabis use as a matter of urgency as your habit is likely to be of enduring serious detriment to your mental health. If you develop a psychotic disorder such as schizophrenia, your life will follow a very different and very unhappy path that might be avoidable. Speak with your psychiatrist about this and request CBT and / or psychodynamic psychotherapy as an adjunct or even replacement for your existing drug regimen (including that for PTSD).

I'd agree with the above, though as i understand it from the scientific evidence/ community opinion, it's harmful when you're young, and later it's the strong stuff that's bad - rather than all of it. I imagine exactly the same could be said about alcohol - beer at 14 ain't great for you, and neat vodka isn't ideal at any time.

the responsible thing here would be for us all to suggest OP seeks some sort of professional assistance - your strategy for using cannabis on a daily basis is very dangerous, even more so at your age.

In my mature years now and it is painfully obvious which of my friends have indulged and to say that it has no long term effects is entering into the realms of 'Kidology'.

Medical use only.

Completely agree, you can normally tell talking to people whether they smoke it or not.
