My Deepsea Blue 35i came with an all black interior and having had my zed for more than 3 years wanted to liven up the "dull" interior up with a Coral Red one. So I bought one of fleebay and installed it, however the wife to her horror says the red and blue clashes - she doesn't like red interiors anyway!

So what are the thoughts, is it okay or does it clash?

I like it πŸ‘ but if Mrs Zikim gets her own way I am pretty sure there will be forum members who will relieve you of the red leather.
 
I have to agree with your mrs it clashes, maybe you can getaway with it with certain shades of blue and red but with this blue and red I don't think it works and I am a fan of the coral red interior, mine has it. Last year around March or April when I was looking for my Zed there was a DSB with coral red up for sale on autotrader, it took the bloke well over a year to sell the car, despite dropping the price multiple times. My guess is that colour combo didn't help!
 
We’re looking at changing to a newer Zed and the one thing the OH is absolutely fixed on is no red interior no matter the external colour of the car. So I’m guessing it’s just one of those things, if your Mrs doesn’t like it she ain’t going to change her mind, which in turn means it’s coming back out sooner or later :rofl:

I have to say I do like a red interior but not against your DSB
 
It would be good to see a before and after picture for comparison.
 
I have always thought that coral red was closer to a shade of brown than red, probably because of the matt finish. Looks great in silver cars, not sure about blue but its your choice OP...
 
Love Coral Red in our White car but it's not quite the right colour here in my view. However, my Rocket had a bright red chassis tubing and a metallic blue similar to DSB and that worked really well. Also, Black works well with Coral Red and DSB is not that far off so what do I know. But you will have to do what the Mrs says....
 
Well I have to say I didn't think I would like it, but now I've seen it I kinda of do so went for a yes. Judging by the voting (limited numbers I know) it does seem to be splitting opinion. What I have always wondered is would the red seats and door cards look better with the black centre console and dash pieces?
I do like the wheels though, what are they?
 
MACK, another option could leave the dash and centre console red and have the black door cards.. Must admit I would like that interior in my Sapphire Black car
 
Agree with some of the above, I think you would get away with the red seats if you put the black door cards and dash trim back in
 
Your pole question needs to be shorter :D I don't know if I'm voting it's okay or it clashes.
I wouldn't say it clashes - it a high contrast of colour. But it's quite acceptable... even patriotic.
Have her put a white dress on when you go out :poke:
