Whip on the Roadster and OEM Stubby on the Coupe - both seem to have OK reception.

The external twig acts as the FM2 diversity receiver (covers part of the FM band width unavailable on the bumper aerial) for certain wavelengths & signal qualities so may not be noticed depending on the channel and where you are. If BMW could have got away with a cheap-as-chips Citroen item I'm sure they would have, several members have regretted the swap but at least it's reversible

I didn't have an aerial on mine when I bought it
But went stubby so people walking past wouldn't pull it down and make it whip, like I used to when I was little lol

Stubby looks better and saves your eyesight when cleaning car

Pug stubby. £6 or so. Fm reception not as good as the whip was.
