Polishing glass

What are people finding the best solution for polishing their windscreen? My 13 year old screen does have that light pitting that annoys my ocd when the sunlight hits it at the wrong angle, so would love to remove these fully. I've got a cerium oxide polish and the rayon felt pad, but with a dual-action it's not having much impact/improvement so far. :?
 
I think he wants to polish out the fine scratches and pits, not just clean.

Cerium Oxide and a hard pad, I have managed it using a Porter Cable polishing machine.
