Polished Stainless tailpipes

There the same as mine mate !
All the black specks on them will polish out,there not flaking or chipped
Just whip em off :thumbsup:

They came on the car - but the point is they are matt - I'd prefer them if they were polished !
 
Mine are the same, just matte stainless steel. I don't mind the matte look, just give them a wee polish every now and then to keep 'em clean. You could try a proper metal polish to try to get them shiney, not sure if that'll work. Think Meguiar's has a decent metal polish.
 
those look different to my exhaust tips...... really like mine the way they are

If you rub them hard enough with metal polish they will lose the matt finish and go nice and shiney.
 
Seems to be the way that newer BMWs are going. My e85 pipes were very shiny chrome whereas those on my e90 are identical to the matt finish ones pictured above. A bit of autosol and steel wool and they come up pretty well, but nothing like the e85 chromed finish.
