Polish

Hi , what polish have you used for black z4. So far purple haze has given me the best results.

Purple Haze (Dodo Juice) is a wax not a polish, but does a great job at masking any imperfections.

In terms of polishes, Autoglym Super Resin Polish is great for entry level stuff, easy to use and does create a nice shine. It doesn't remove swirls, but then by hand nothing really will.

A selection of products from Farecla, AutoGlym and Meguiars dependent on the cut and Polish required. Followed by PB Blackhole then HellShine Abyss and finished off with auto finesse Illusion.

That process gives me 6 months fantastic finish no matter what.

I use Pawel Wierzbowski top bloke.......
+1
I use the Poles at Tesco - don't know their names though, must ask them to write them down the next time I'm there

I continue to like Simoniz Black Box, despite the rude comments I have received when I have stated this before.

Just goes to show that there probably isn't one perfect product, everybody has a fav, as in reality I'd be surprised if anybody could tell the difference between them.

Freshly waxed cars looks great, but then freshly cleaned untaxed cars also look great. I know some people post 50/50's and whilst I can see benefit of polishing. I've never noticed wax actually add any gloss. Protection yes, aesthetics....well, I think it's a case of the emperor's clothes

AutoGlym Ultra Deep Shine - good for dark colours but takes more effort than their Super Resin Polish which is excellent for good results with minimum effort - very nearly wipe on wipe off!

I find finishing off with Meguires Carnuba Wax does highlight the shine. . . .

:driving:

Although not a polish Poorboys black hole is excellent for black paint work. it's a glaze but easy to use and good results ;)

I'm surprised you can't get Carbon black to shine like a mirror with minimal effort :? Have you tried Autosmart Platinum Wax or Autosmart Mirror Image ?
There may be better products out there but doubt they will be cheaper & whilst i like to keep my motors looking tiptop & i can't justify throwing silly money at cosmetic products 8)

Here's my Sterling grey after 1 application of the mirror image . its easy to apply & £11 for 1litre http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5039.m570.l1311.R1.TR2.TRC1.A0.H0.Xautosmart+mirror+image&_nkw=autosmart+mirror+image&_sacat=0

For polish I have used Meguiar's Step 2 Deep Crystal Polish

For the wax I used Chemical Guys Black
