I have finally treated myself to a DA polisher tonight and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on polishes and compounds that work well? My e89 is crimson red and whilst the paint is not bad it's not great either and has plenty of lite swirling on it. I have only polished the car by hand previously but I want to get a much better finish on it and keen to get to grips with machine polishing.
I have used a rotary polisher on my old e85 but that was to tidy up my bumper after someone scrapped it. I did also attempt to do the bonnet on it as well but being honest it was not the best job. I couldn't really make either worse so just went for it on both occasions but don't want to damage the paint badly on my current car hence why I have now gone for a DA. I used poor boys super swirl remover on both occasions.
Any recommendations would be welcome along with any other tips for using a DA.
