In a nutshell........can the Z4 be de restricted and if so what might the top speed be? :driving:

The speed limiter can be removed with a DME reflash.
How fast depends on a great number of things.
I did manage to reach the limiter on an autobahn on the way to the Nurburgring (yes, really) but it took a very long time. A 3.0si might hit 160mph on a good day.

Yes they can...and I'm hoping I will be able to use all of 6th gear once (if) the supercharger gets fitted to my Z4MC, and the appropriate mapping/coding is completed.

Currently the speed limiter only works in 6th, and soft limits it to around 160mph on the speedo. But if you keep it in 5th, it will softly bounce off the rev limiter at a speed-indicated 175mph (sat-nav 168mph).
