Plumbing Problem

Sorry for sounding thick..but what is the solution for this? Im confused...if i turn the mcw pressure up and thus increase the flow rate....wont this make my water even colder?
 
I have plumbing on the cheap ... I changed all the pipes to large bore and dedicated feeds to have independent flow, i.e. if someone opens a tap, the person having a shower is not affected.

No idea why they plumb it any other way.
 
You need a higher output boiler and shower. If it was insufficient mains pressure it would not make the water go cold as you turn the tap on stronger.

How would i know what wattage to go for..there are some on ebay for less than £500-30W. I just have a two up two down.
 
Not sure what you mean by a two up two down sorry.
30kw would be better yes, although I would advise getting a plumber out as I wouldn't want you buying a new boiler and it being something completely different. Lol :)
 
Two bedrooms upstairs and just a living room and a kitchen downstairs.
lol, to be honest...i think no matter what..its going to cost me...i just dont understand why my nieghbours are fine and they have the exact same stuff.........
 
That's why it's best to have a plumber come and check, could be a boiler/plumbing fault but it doesn't sound like it.

Good luck with it all :) try and use somebody local and recommended so they don't try and rip you off.
 
We run a combi, and run the shower directly off the boiler.If one of us is having a shower, we make sure we don't use any taps as the pressure drops and the shower gets cold.Combi's do this. The upside of a combi is that you aren't heating water and storing it that you don't use. The downside is that they can be very slow to run a bath. Our old combi was like yours, it was a cheap one,I got a better one and it's fine.If your place is a council refurb, it is likely they fitted a cheapy boiler. My thoughts, live with it or fit a better boiler.My last cost about a grand all in, and has been fine.
 
There is a review of them in the last Which guide. The recommended ones for your size house seems to be about £650 by the looks of it.
 
Just get a mega flow and you won't have that problem, although if you only have one bathroom, it's not worth it. If two or more, than defo get one
