I have a 2005 bmw z4 and when i want to close the top , the windows going down,
And then i hear a bissssssss for 5 sec and than nothing... The top wont even go up
Anymore.. If i hear a bisssss thier must be something working,but the top wont go up,,,,

Please help....
 
Have you tried giving it a gentle helping hand? Maybe apply some 3 in 1 oil to the moving part joints? Any lights flash? Should just be solid red when your fingers on it.

Hopefully it's not the motor on its last legs! Have you cleared the drains on it?

I hear the sound from the back of the seats. The red is solid when i press on it... Thier is no yellow..only red..i just took it out today..it was stord for the winter...my first drive.. :x
 
Try giving it a helping hand. The motor may have gone, but more likely just a bit stiff. Oil it :thumbsup:

I tryed to help it but nothing!!! So my son gave me a hand to close the top and it was very easy ..dont need the
Allan key!!brought the top to its place and press the button to close and it was done...... And yes yes yes i try to open it and nothing at all... Will have to go manully for a while before i get a quote on a new motor... Thanks again....
 
But can we be sure it is the motor. And what is te difference between the HyDralic motor ..is it the same thing...i will look into fuse ....juste maybe...thank again...
