Just called him, he is pretty sure it is the DSC control unit  but he is still confirming.

car has gone into the indy this morning. He was very concerned that it cant change gear, it tries but only 2nd is driving (even that seems to slip now and again).

I have a bad feeling that this is going to be very expensive. :x

The transmission controller will not function properly without a speed input, mine did the same thing occasionally.

yeah, it seems the people on here were correct all along. I would have given it a go myself but i don't have any experience or a location i can do it (doing it in the road outside was not going to be a great idea). The Mrs was worried that i would get pissed off with it if i couldn't do it and it would end up costing twice.

confirmed its the DSC module. Garage is going to send it off for refurb. Wont have the car for a week or two but at least its not too bad.

Are you getting a warranty? if so, please state details, I may be interested in sending my original off for repairs.

I don't know of anything yet but i will ask them when i next speak to them (not sure who my garage use). I know there was a link sent by someone (sorry cant remember who it was) who i believe had a lifetime warranty on their work.

I will have a look.

It was B21, i am sure one of these offer lifetime warranty.

Pressure sensor on my dsc unit failed. Bought one from breaker £30. Same part number, no coding, for any diy'ers.

Garage has just called me saying its all done. DSC control unit replaced with a recon, £582 all in.

Will pick that up later and hopefully we are back in action.

Good to hear you have got it sorted and can now enjoy it.

yeah hopefully.

Drove it home and took a detour (including a blast down the motorway) was driving great.

He investigated the leak and said he couldn't see anything but has cleaned the drains out. Where are the drains and how can i ensure they say clear?
