Hi Leystan, I checked my MOT and it's due on the 25th June so it sounds like you may get there before me.

I'm in the position that if I uncork it then the reservoir will empty itself in about 2 minutes, meaning the windscreen washers won't work either, which would definitely be an MOT fail.

A new sprayer nozzle is £61 from BMW and if mine fails the MOT, then I'll just have to go for it and get that.

From what I've read, the leaking issue comes about due to the parts freezing in winter and cracking the plastic so I don't think it's even like I can replace an O-ring or anything like that. :(

Mine started leaking last week leaving a garage floor puddle each day .

Fix was real easy. Manually raised and lowered the jet about a dozen times. That cleared crap out of the piston seals. Refilled and been fine and not a drip since.

I have this exact same problem on the same side,
Could you tell me how I could manually raise and lower the washer to try the possible fix.
Also is it possible to block the pipe off at the washer end somehow, just to stop all the fluid escaping?

Using your nails gently pull the jet cover up or get someone to operate them and grab it. Once raised a little you can grip it below the sprayer and work it up and down a few cycles. I went via the wheel arch and after unclipping the cover removed the whole jet and the hose. Hose is locked on with a plastic 'C' clip.

To avoid water loss in the interim pull the washer motor out and shape something to seal it off.
