Hi guys, I really would appreciate help here - my 2007 Z4 2.5 si Sport has developed a problem that is really getting me down now.
The motor pulls strong on the soft top but when the material folds back and attempts to stow away it gets folded and crumpled under itself to the point at which it cannot fully retract due to incorrect folding.
I have been to the dealer and they have told me it can be as small as the headliner elastics inside are worn and allowing the headliner to sag. Or.. the headliner will need replacing. The first option they said would be under £50. However they will only look at and diagnose the problem if I pay them £80. If I want a replacement headliner and fitting they have quoted me already around the £1500 mark.
There must be an easier way right? Please help. If not, then I just need some general advice. Thanks a lot.
