The 2017 (!) car doesnt have much spec. No cruise, no PDC so chances are it doesn't have the 'comfort pack'. So probably won't have extended lighting. extended storage or folding mirrors. It does have a wind deflector but those can be bought separately.

The 2014 car looks like it has cruise (difficult to see) and it has extended storage and PDC so probably has the 'comfort pack'.

That's the disclaimer for Superchips (remap kings). It is odd as I had a 2013 Z4 with the same engine remapped by them without the disclaimer, yet if I put my current car, 2016 with the same engine, in the disclaimer is there. By all accounts there is very little difference in the N20 from 2010 to 2016, so I don't understand. They didn't change the pistons AFAIK during the production period.

Celtic Tuning do a map which is very similar to the 28i figures, whereas Superchips (remap kings) only do a full fat 280bhp and more torque map.

Rather than tuning why not just go for a 35i

Always liked them in the blue,

Thanks for that info , I did look at the 30i with the dc but as I’m going to be using it as a daily to and from work it would end up costing me to much in fuel , I do love the twin exhaust looks and sounds better , if it was a weekend car I would definitely go for one of those

I’d definitely go for the higher spect car, it’s surprising how much nicer the little extras make the car feel. Do you have any web links to the 2 cars as there may be better photos.
The 35i/is isn’t that bad on fuel on a decent run.

Th higher the spec the better as far as I am concerned. You will be sitting in it for many hours so the more toys and comfort the better.

If you can afford the 35i version, so much the better. Good hunting

Yes the links work fine, looks like the 2014 one also has folding mirrors and 19” 326 wheels, couldn’t tell if the seats are electric and memory though, the 2017 ones are manual seats, unfortunately the spec details listed on the websites don’t necessarily relate to that particular car, there just generic
I’d still have the 28i
Also are both cars DCT?

Agreed. It will also be a lot easier to move on when the time comes. As we all know, everything was an extra on German cars, so buyers will see a well-specced car as better VFM in my experience.

My previous 440i had nearly £15k of options on from the factory (it had almost EVERYTHING). When I sold it, it was sold in 30 minutes, due to the spec more than anything.

Whichever you end up with check the 19" 326 style alloys as they had a useful habit of cracking and for any roof corrosion/bubbling although accept you're looking at potentially a 8 to 10 years old motor.

Still miss mine for the looks and wouldn't mind a nice 35i. Pity more retractable/tin tops 2 seaters aren't still being made, MX5RF and not much else these days if buying new.

the spec you were given does not list everything for the 20i as i can see PDC gearbox and iDrive for a start (no cruise). Can you request the VIN for both to get a true list of goodies?

love my 35i. Older than the ones you are looking at but it is beautiful to look at and to drive.
