please help - going insane!

this morning i took my phone mount out from between the seats cos since i had the car the cradle has not been securely held in place and every time i open the cubby the cradle pops off.

so anyway i took the cradle apart and as i did a spring jumped out of place and ive been trying to figure out how it goes back in for the last 90 mins. its really pi$$ing me off as i cant figure the f****r out :oops: :headbang: :headbang:

the spring pushes the 'tongue' out and hold the cradle in place as seen in the last photo.

looks like a bit left in.spring end seems broke,not the same as the other.just a thought. :driving:
 
The long part of the spring must clip into the little nick on the flap, but to be honest without seeing it in the flesh it's hard to work out.
 
Thanks lads. I've given up now. Too many hours spent on it today. I'm just so frustrated at being beaten by a HALF INCH PIECE OF WIRE!
