PLEASE!!! Check your roof drains, So glad I did!

Im thinking of having a crack at this without taking the wheels off - maybe next weekend, tips from anyone who has done this would be appreciated.

i think the first time you do it the problem may be locating the bungs, with the wheels off you can get in better and feel around

mmmmm, maybe its time to invest in a set of axle stands and a torque wrench!

its a shame your not near me, i would have done them for you

Cheers mate, I think my old man had a set of axle stands - may have a rummage around his garage when I'm next there.

Is it just me who was able to get to the bungs without removing the wheel? Just simply.Jack the car up and you can see them.

I pour some water down both sides of the roof until I see it escaping from behind the cills, if it doesn't come out it means they're blocked :o
I've never removed the wheels/inspection hatches to check the bungs, I must be double jointed!
Regards

+1 I do exactly the same thing as Smartbear and I too have never had to remove the wheels or the inspection hatches. Awkward yes, impossible definitely not :)

Obviously not  definitely not at all difficult to remove the bungs. I took the wheel and inspection hatch off the first time and wondered why I even bothered.

Just checked mine, looks like the bungs have already been removed? What do you think?? (2006 ///M)

Other side didn't have anything... Just above a plastic box which I assume hosts the bpad wear electrics??

I have now! :)

Yeap it's in the same location. The plug above has the same thread, so looks like they've just removed the rubber bit.

i only removed the rubber bit, i then poked a piece of wire up the hole to check thet were clear and poored water down there
