IPA = isopropyl alcohol

3 coats, it's smooth but because it's rubbery it grips more. I'm really pleased with the result as long as it holds up. If not then I would look to do again using a matt acrylic paint that I first did my grills with.

Right airbag is off. It's fairly easy Bing, just use a philips screw drive and point it towards the middle of the steering wheel shaft. When your in the right place you can feel a spring clip and it's this that releases the airbag by pushing it down. You can do one side at a time. Took me less than 5 minutes to do.

Just two more coats for the rear spokes so will all be back together later today. :D

That looks great! I definatley wont let a worn steering wheel put me off my search as I'll most likely just do what you've done!

Where did you get the Plastidip from? Is it in an aerosol form?
 
Now drive without knuckle-dusters in the future then :D

Looks good - will inspect from close up and compare what it looks like against the ultimate condition, i.e. mine :lol:

Just ordered some... And some IPA, which seems to be basically nail polish remover... Hopefully will all arrive for next weekend.

May well do my cubby behind the handbrake too, as that's looking a bit tired and seems to be coated in the same stuff as the steering wheel bits. Same with the dip under the handbrake, though I am guessing that I need to start dismantling the car at that point so will probably leave it alone :D

I looked at the handbrake section, the small bit in the centre will slide out but the main section is a lot of work requiring the centre console to come out.

Luckily though mine is OK :D
