Plastic steering wheel shroud refurb

So managed to install cruise control using my new Xmas present (dremel tool) but got a bit carried away with the sanding element resulting in a scratch along the right hand side. What’s the best way to refund? Sand it out using a fine grit then spray?

Or just wrap?

I'd be tempted to visit a breakers or ebay and get another. Ebay ones are around a tenner so a breakers would be cheaper i guess.
