Hi all. 2005 2.5i. The plastic part on the inside of the roof that goes along the width of the roof and houses the motor that locks the roof is totally broken. The 4 screw holes in the front are gone. The two side holes or grommets are broken. And I think there's one more screw hole in the middle that's broken. It broke when I replaced the roof lock motor. Replacing that motor was easy, but I didn't realize how brittle that plastic piece was until it was too late. I'm guessing this has come up on this forum before, but I don't know what to search for because I don't know what the part is called (header, cowl?). Has anybody been successful with some DIY homemade way of attaching this broken piece to the roof? I've got Gorilla tape keeping it up now, but usually only lasts a day. And I don't want to drive it with the top up and have it hit me in the face while I'm driving. I may eventually just buy a new part off eBay, but I think the install isn't simple because it's also attached to the liner. Thanks all!
