OK so it's not a Z4 event, but I know a few people on here have had Minis so I thought it might be of interest.

It's one of Pistonheads standard Sunday Service events at the Mini factory from 09.00 to 12.00 with breakfast and coffee available.

It doesn't sound like there will be any factory access sadly, but there is a museum and there will obviously be some new Minis!

They've got 500 places and over 100 have already gone, so if you interested get signed up sharpish.

FYI, the Mini factory tour is excellent and not expensive. It can be booked at: https://www.visit-mini.com/visitmini/

The museum, in my opinion, is average at best.

I took my wife along with me to the factory tour much to her dismay. She isn't really interested in anything automotive. But we both loved it. It's almost as if they built the factory with tours in mind!

Oh well, it's still a good excuse for a good drive in the Z4 when the roads are quiet! :)

I agree a factory tour would be much better, especially as Mrs Tidy has had 2 cars that were made there, but maybe the numbers are a problem?

Some years ago there was one of these events at Rolls-Royce in Goodwood that did include a factory tour, and it was great. That site also seemed to have been built with tours in mind, with mezzanine floors above the production line - the level of detail they go to was amazing!

Maybe see you there nick_l.
