Pistonheads and BMW AUC UK site

Is it me or is the BMW AUC UK site the slowest, most frustrating, clunky and waste of time online experience ever to grace the internet?

Glad Im not the only one. Both website and app completely woeful experience. You'd think with the money they make from us all they could make the experience faster and slicker than something last witnessed in 1997.

Try the Ford site....might be quick, but useless if you want info.

VW site today....some parts quick, other parts dog slow!

It prepares you for their after sales experience.... ;)

I spend a fair bit of time on the AUC site as I just enjoy looking for BMW`s but I agree its very painful at times to load the cars up & you end up turning it off in the end.

The upside tho, is that it looks like its the time of year that the asking price of open tops are on the rise

As is the new pistonhead site :headbang:
+1 A ruined experience. I used to spend hours on there. Not anymore.

what have they fundamentally changed? agree it's worse but I figured it's because i'm inflexible and averse to change....and everyone else thought it progress.

bit like everytime they update ms office and someone tells me it's more 'intuitive', unfortunately I don't think nature has yet evolved us to find clicking an arrow moved with our hand on arbitrary icons intuitive, so i'd prefer the version I learnt... :)

Fo me the PH site seems to have a bit of a mind of its own. Sometimes its the 'new look' with drop down selectors at the top (that just give you too many options to start with). Then as you scroll down there appears on the left another selection section to fine tune. The old site just used to be manufacturer based, model select, then fine tune at the top. It also all seems to be about 5 times to large for the screen too. Im all for change but this seems worse to me.

see what you mean, they have sort of left the features there, but switched the order round somehow.

having said that, since moving to windows 8 I've given up on trying to fathom logic in my dealings with a computer screen!

Hate the new PH classifieds layout, takes a frustratingly long time to select the model you want. the old way of scroll down and click was much simpler.
