I ended up sourcing all the parts needed to fit the sound generator, then popped out one of the foam pieces.
Wifey is very happy with the result.

Not sure whereabouts you are, but on the vague chance you're near Norfolk, I would be happy to help out if needed. I just need a mirror on a 2m stickJamie2.5 said:That’s great cheers will look forward to the task haha!

enuff_zed said:OK, so firstly, if you search on Realoem you have to look at the 3.0i as that had it fitted as standard.
It won't be cheap, unless you have the patience to wait and pick up bits as you go.

I think I'm right in saying that the OP has an M54 engine. The sound generator is a completely different size and shape.
Whether it could be adapted to fit I have no idea, but it would be an expensive experiment.
Maybe you have? Maybe you haven't?Mike6 said:Have I missed the point here.

Yes I did want to know about the piper cross filter but that because I didn’t have a clue that I could add the sound generator to my car.
Let’s all stay calm we’re all friendly Z owners after all haha

Oh I wasn't looking for an argument, just pointing out that I'd read the original question as being related more to sound feedback than performance improvements.Mike6 said:I dont see any problem with the pipercross panel filter as it avoids the oil issue of K&N ones and does allow the engine to breathe easier.
