Pink / purple tinge with Xenons

Hi folks.
Moved the car today and noticed the passenger side headlight has a pink/purple tinge. Seems to be present with and without high beams.

The car has got bi-xenons. Does this mean there are 2 bulbs per side? Like 1 for main and 1 for high beam?

Because it looks like the bulb is on the way out,
I’ve seen recommendations that both sides should be changed. Is this something someone incompetent (me) could do or is it best left to a grown-up?

Cheers

just one bulb, the when u use full beam a metal plate is moved, u`ll hear it click

the colour usually means the bulbs failed

yeah its easy to do your self

I’d replace both sides, if one’s gone the other could be on its way. And you could end up with slightly different coloured lights if you only do one. Which if it were me would do my nut in :D

Thanks guys.

The buggers aren’t cheap are they?!

This is the correct one yes? £200 for bulbs is annoying.

Think that’s a twin pack....

Be careful buying from eBay as there are LOADS of fake Osram/Phillips bulbs around.

Also make sure you don’t go too high on the colour temp, no more than 6000k if you want to avoid everyone accusing you of being a chav.

Thanks guys.
Ordered from Powerbulbs today. About a million times cheaper than eurocarparts!
Will now see how much damage I can do trying to fit them when I'm back home.
