Ping - there goes another rear spring!!

Gents,

I have had the common rear spring break. I'm looking at doing it my self with the help of some forum guides (thanks in advance!).

I have the 3.0si coupe sport, so it has the m suspension (do ineed different springs). I have asked the local dealers for a quote and they have quoted £90 for a spring. Anyone know anywhere where they can get a BMW spring cheaper on the off chance? I'm croydon based.

Also do I need to replace the seat on the top of the spring?

I wouldnt bother with the BMW springs..will probably just go ping again..go after market, better ride, lower and more durable..Eibachs are the most tried and tested by the forum members.
 
yea ditch the oem springs. if you fancy doing it yourself it will be cheap as to replace all four corners. or you could just buy two rears as they are the most likely to break again and dont cost much more than OEM
