Wonder if you guys can help.

I am looking for some pictures of the underneath of a Z4M with possibly the bumper removed...

thinking of fabricating something like this so I carry my bike to the forest :)

I realise that the car is not designed for this, but can't help thinking that it shouldn't be impossible

hope the mods don't mind me posting links

Your not the only one who would find a bike rack useful, I have to keep using the wifes car which is a PITA.

THis subject has been covered on here before so worth doing a search if you havent already.

Looks like a neat fit BUT in the UK if the bike masks or restricts the view of the rear number plate (side and brake lights look OK on the link fit) then you will need electrics and a number plate mount on the bike. Not ever tried it and thinking about it the boot is probably too small but with wheels seat etc remove will it all go in the boot - but of course you will have tried that?

Hi Mitch... I use a boot bike rack designed for cars with spoilers (gets over the humped boot) - I prefer to put the wheels in the boot... as Alan rightly points out, keeps the bike it out of the way of number plate and lights. Posted a thread about (link below)... getting to the point, on page 2 there is a link from A11y about a rather neat looking solution with a UK number:

Reference the photos, stolen from Google search (Z4M underside), coupes, not sure if that makes a difference:

Good luck... looks like an interesting (useful) project!

I will follow this eagerly as the only thing standing in the way of my Mrs giving me the green light is my being able to convince her that I'll be able to cart my bike around!

Have a look at this thread!

If you ignore the rest of us rambling on there is a useful link from A11y! Not sure how that would fit with the M battery though. Likewise whether the wheels would fit in the boot using my rack? I tried with 1 wheel off but the bike moved around too much. Not tried with both on though.
