Pictures of exhaust layout underneath an E85 3.0I?

Hi,

kinda urgent, but does anyone have a photo of the exhaust layout underneath the 3.0i?

Looking at getting a customised exhaust made, as Blueflame have really let me down in the customer services department. Unbelievable that for the sake of a phonecall they would be happy to lose my £450 worth of business..

Mate, I'd give them a chance - didn't you just speak to them this morning? This is a smallish manufacturer that makes a good product - their bike exhausts are great and from what I've seen so is the Z4 system. I'll have been waiting nearly 3 months for my system by the time it goes in, but I'm not getting too stressed over it (frustrating as it is) because I have faith in the product. I'd say BlueFlame were worth the wait. Maybe I'm just a soft touch!

Otherwise Motorsport World sell BlueFlame exhausts.

That aside, I think there are some photos on here... IIRC Peddy posted some of a twin box system, but unlike CJs proper setup it's just T-pipe off of the main box, so should help.

Here's the page I was talking about...

Not as much of the car as I thought, but may be of use if you just want the back box!

How come three months? I was told it would take 10 days max.

Cheers

Sorry, just read that again - very misleading. I thought I'd put in there that mine's an Eisenmann system - handmade in Germany... build / shipping / fitting. My view (point) is its worth waiting if it's a good product which I would say BlueFlame is. I was going to add that custom jobs can be a gamble, but to be honest if CJ was happy with MIJ's work that's a solid recommendation

EDIT: Some more pics to make up my misrepresentation...

Just to correct you, In biking world they have no real credit or genuine tuning or power gains. And are not really a respected manufacture..I've seen some of there systems and i wouldn't describe them as "highest Finish"...Just seen as a rather cheapish UK brand …..now Akrapovic on the other hand are a quality manufacture..With impeccable finish and proven gains/performance and probably the most highest regarded systems you can buy…

Not that a have a Full titanium system on my CBR600RR or anything..

I was suprised when i see there name thrown around here alot esp on what i would consider a fairly expensive car as the Z4...? I would opt for a Miltek atleast!

And would prefer to have names like Eisenmann or Supersprint..Supersprint are very popular in the BMW tuning world and a bit more resonable price wise than Eisenmann.Had one on my E36 was very nice,But was about 0.5% noisy than standard lol :P

That was from personal experience, about 6 years ago now - dual port carbon can on my GSXR600... led an old colleague to put one on his GSXR750 K1... and then when he crashed it, the next one Fireblade street fighter! Yep, no real power gains, but great sound and went on without tuning. Agree about Akrapovic  Their system for the Z4 look great too, if a little pricey... MMM-Five posted a pic a while back, IIRC.

Eisenmann  But about double the OP's budget.

Strange - you must have got the village idiot in for the day. speak to someone called 'Immy' workshop manager iirc. He knew what he was talking about.

Def a bit of a 'fast and furios' shop. You can pick up a skyline engine or see a few 900hp nitrous street cars in there most of the time. Makes me wary of running up against any standard looking Nissan in the streets on Brum

Here's mine on the ramp during development and before I finished off my work, movved the diffuser and blacked the cans. I'm but the work looked excellent and it was all flanged to accept my back boxes, heatshield fitted, etc.

Not wishing to labour a point but why are you prepared to wait 3 months for a part. If BMW told anyone on this forum they would have to wait 3 months for a part the whole Forum would erupt in general criticism of BMW and their failure to manage customer expectation. Perhaps we should apply standards we expect of dealers to all those we deal with and not just selectively. RANT OVER :headbang:

I don't think that's fair. This is hand built to order and was expecting up to 4 weeks for it to arrive in this country. Manufacturing was delayed. Shipping was delayed. Install has been delayed in part due to my going snowboarding. They set an expectation, but kept me updated. I'm willing to give some leeway if I'm getting something special. Although, I don't think I would be going bananas over a late shipment from BMW if they kept me informed - I work in IT and a lot of what I sell comes from abroad and have to deal with lead times shipping all the time due to product constraint - sub manufacturing of components, it's all about keeping people updated. Rebuttal over  (sorry OP)

CJ, you're just taunting us now... fine piece of engineering I never get tire of seeing!

Beancounter - result sir  Got to be happy with that! Where from?

Actually does'nt look to bad if they cost £400 fitted?

Would like to hear one...I've never ever seen i modded up z4 before let alone one with an exhaust or anything

any london? kent meets happening?

Anyone got a supersprint ?
