Picture resolution loss

I don't why this happens? When I paste any pictures here from photobucket, the resolution is much worse than the original...!?!?
 
I'm using Vista and IE7 and the forum (or my browser) automatically resizes the pics to my screen width, so I can't see them in their full glory. If I right click I don't get an option to "View picture" although I have heard some people doing this? It works in Firefox though, so I either open Firefox to view the pics in the photo competition, or I copy the url of the pic and paste it into a new window, and I can see it full resolution there.

I know what you mean because the re-sizing causes the picture to appear jaggy (no anti-aliasing or something?) and they need to be viewed at the full resolution, especially photo competition pics.
 
I'm using a Mac, and I get originals or edited copies.....they all work, though the edited not as good.
