Pics of Interlagos Roadster with hood up? Anyone owned both?

Anyone got any good pics? Tried searching around but not finding many of a decent quality on google..
I'm tempted by both a Coupe and a Roaster at the moment. I've owned a Coupe before and now looking to picking up one more of a weekend toy this time (last one was daily driven). I do prefer the looks of the Coupe and the one I'm looking at has had one owner and Full BMW history who seems to have serviced the car very early (Ins 2 around 40k miles) but I'm considering a Roadster for something different from what I'm used to. I assume they drive the same? The Coupe I'm looking at is well loaded where as the Roaster has sat nav and that's about it(an option I do not care about to be honest), and three previous owners and not full BMW history (some specialist in Wales I have never heard of) - although last service was an Inspection 2 done at a BMW dealer.

Anyone owned both a Coupe and Roadster for a decent period of time?
Part of me just thinking go for the Coupe as should hold value or increase more and for that sheer ability (torsional stiffness etc). Could just put the windows down I suppose more often :)
Unfortunately unable to get to the Roaster so would be buying remotely on the basis if it's shite it goes back -but seems great condition - but I've never even driven any ragtop before so would be a more risky option over the "know what I'm getting" Coupe.
 
If it's going to be a weekend car, it's a no brainer, roadster all the way, gives the car more dimensions and a lot more enjoyment :driving: The roadster also rides a lot better, I've never owned a coupe, but driven 3 friends cars and they felt firmer and more fidgety on the road. Looks of course are a lot more subjective... these shots are all I have, sorry.

I seem to remember playing 'Spot the Mods' with those photographs a while ago... It looks good, but it's no coupe!

Owner for circa 2 months. I've not looked back to hardtop (albeit an Audi S3) ownership.

Are your 224s spaced, Gwatson? Yours appear to fill the arches more than mine. Have you also painted your hubs, or pictures taken straight after new brakes, as they're gleaming!

The roadster is just gorgeous with the roof down or hardtop on, with the soft top in place it kinda is average, i often wonder how interlagos would love with a navy hood!!!! epic id hope!!
 
Those wheels do look spaced, they definitely sit out further than mine. You don't need much though, 5mm all round will do that. Every one in a while I decide I want some for looks, then I decide I don't because of the potential rubbing up front and just a (senseless) nervousness about having them fitted. Beedub used to have some lovely lightweight ones on his that were hexagonal IIRC.

yeah they were bmw motorsport inspired units, they were dubbed as the strongest and lightest available and they literally weighted nothing, beautiful things, As much as i don't mind spacers (the stock wheels really need spacing for them to look good) I'm glad I'm on a set of wheels that doesn't need them, 8 mm on each axle of the z4m on stock wheels would look perfecto.
 
Thanks team BB. I spaced my last car after a few years of umming and ahing over new wheels with "better" offsets. I'll have a look for some as 5-8mm is not bad if going hubcentric (as is a must!).

Sorry just catching up on this thread. Yeah wheels are spaced 10mm all round, 12mm front would be perfect on reflection. Car is also on eibachs.

I put new discs on 4000 miles ago I'm embarrassed to admit that with my ocd the 'bell' part get ls cleaned when the wheels do, keeps them looking good :-)

Ideal, thanks for the info!

No embarrassment here my friend. My fellow car enthusiasts take the mickey out of me for cleaning inside my sump - it had oil crud from 8 years of abuse, so why not?! Mine have come up ok after a decent IronX going over but not 100%...
