Off to pick up my black Z4MC tomorrow.....excited, always loved these cars, so nice to finally own one! Lot's of plans for it, so will be a pretty active member on here from now on!

Fair play, i picked mine up last Wednesday but its been sat on my drive as i refused to lose a months tax, so can only drive it for the first time on Saturday!

It's been a painful few days.

Great news.

Which one did you choose in the end ?

Went for the AUC in the end.....negotiated a very good deal in the end. End of their month, so great deals to be had!

A lot of ///M's seem to be appearing of late.

Nice to see lots of people signing up and look forward to seeing some pictures of these lovely cars.

Hope you enjoy yours Angelus666. Look forward to hearing all about it. :driving:

Perhaps a sign its the right time to buy? I certainly thought it would be a wise choice over an either an E46 M3 or E9X M3 which are only set to depreciate more over the next few years.

Congrats!!

Being a new Mc owner myself I can definitely say you will not be disappointed.

Looking forward to the pics

Yeah, the prospect of very low depreciation was certainly a key aspect in my decision making. I'd be surprised if they drop below £10k over the next few years.

Any recommendations on strut brace and other essential mods?

I was reading about the spring rates being a bit soft on the front compared to the rear so a stiffer ARB or some stiffer springs (or both) really transforms the feel of the car.

I haven't yet looked into this myself but do plan on doing a bit more research into it soon.

OEM spring rates are certainly not "too soft"..

Look up john (exdos) posts about suspension and upgrades..

I think that's the one i was reading but don't think i articulated my response too well. What i was trying to say is that the front (whilst not soft) is soft compared to the rear, or something thereabouts.

Fone the dealer NOW and ask him NOT to wash/valet it for you!! And remember to warm it up before you press the loud pedal too far!

Oooh - nice one! Great choice on colour - despite all the chats around black being boring blah blah.... It's a cracking colour, and when it's clean, it's hard to beat

+1 amen to that,

Congrats angelus666

So, picked her up today.....lovely car, but certainly needs a change of springs and wheels to improve the handling. The bodywork is just ok, a few stone chips and general wear from 50k miles over 7 years.

Does anyone know of a good detailer in the Essex area? I sold my G220 a while back, otherwise I would have done it myself.

Ha, I'll pop up a couple of pictures later on. Quick question, does anyone know if the Bluetooth will connect with a HTC One phone....? Can't seem to get them to link together.
