Picked up the Z4 2.5 Si M-Sport today :) Photos added

Back again, little update...

Well I've had my Audi A3 2.0 Tdi Sport 08 with DPF Delete for circum 10 Years (Still have it..My work horse), and I've just purchased myself a 2006 Z4 2.5 Si M-sport with cream leathers and, I have to say I had forgotten how much I missed driving a petrol car :driving: :D

The sound from this thing is a real smile maker, picked it up and went out and about giving it a blip here and there and did 39 miles and it used just under an 1/8th of a tank. Which I am more than happy with as I only drive 4 or 5 miles a day for work and picking up the daughter from primary school. Probably abit more giddy on the throttle than I will be in a few weeks.

Safe to say that I have not regretted buying it at all, actually quite the opposite its one of my best ideas, I did only plan on doing a bit of a tyre kicking session at a local garage but saw this and after a test drive I put a deposit down :D

I'll upload my own photos of the car tomorrow after my night shift.

What sort of mods/benefits are done to these engines/Cars??

Just purchased a new Aux installation, Spotify is a must.

Thanks lads I love the thing only bought it for abit of a toy, but I can see it turning into my every day car when I only need 2 Seats to be honest :D

I'll get some photos taken tomorrow when I'm up. Night off tomorrow so it's a trip up Trogh Bowland during the day, Wet or dry I'm having a nice long drive out to get some scenery shots :D :driving:

I'll take a look at your thread thanks alot

Glad you like it, the wheels grown on you any? I think they look even nicer now it’s photographed outside

Welcome, imo the wheels really suit the car which looks great. You’ll love the car even more when the roof is down.

Welcome to the forum from an ex 2.5si owner. Great fun, and in the best colour.
Just curious from those photos, are the headlights different - ie, has one been replaced?.
Best mod to get is the Gaptech RCH+. Easy to fit, and gives one touch open-close from inside the cabin, and 3 clicks open/close from the remote. You'll wonder why it didn't come like that from the factory

It looks like the near side light has been sourced from a 3litre as the 2.5si had the black inside look

Hi and welcome - your car looks great, and I love those wheels.

Where you found the Aux port above the ashtray is where BMW put them! My last 3.0Si was slightly to early to have one as standard, but I eventually discovered someone had retro-fitted one in the glovebox.

Not really growing on me yet. Think BMW 19's might be the way forward for me

Not sure about the headlight one has some fade know it that I'll restore and see if they look alike after that.

How do I do the roof mod is it a main dealer job

 All down to personal choice. I’m sure you’d not have much trouble shifting the current ones on here give numerous positive comments about them and this is also a great place to pick a replacement set up hopefully at no/little additional cost.

I like original wheels too, I’ve got BMW 296’s and really like them and I just bought a new set of Michelin PS4S’s that are waiting to go on them when I get time.

I'll see how I feel next month, it's either powder coating these or having a look for some different ones. Some days I like the current rims and other I just think stock.

I bet it looks nice with them on. Luckily these 4 have all been changed for the MOT

Definitely not - main dealers will just fit a new roof motor for silly money in the same water-prone location.

There are 4 forum members I can think of who will relocate the motor into the boot out of harm's way for sensible money. Roughly speaking they are in the SW, SE, NW and NE of England, so it just depends where you are!
