Well - picked up my 08 plate 2.5 Z4, 12000 miles this afternoon. As promised in my intro thread - here are a few pictures, unfortunately the sun had gone in by the time I got round to taking any. Need to find some better backdrops as well! 8)

And for anybody interested - this is the other beastie I keep in the garage

Cheers all - looking forward to being part of the forum fun - and to learning from all the pro's on here :)

welcome :)

I find the Z4 quite practical myself... the boot is deceptively large; the missus and I managed to go camping for 10 days in it, with a 6 man tent that's almost bigger packed away than erected

Welcome
Great colour and spec... same as mine 2.5si, but mines auto. What's the button to the left of the gear stick, opposite the sport button? I haven't got one of those. Intiruged.
Nice low mileage too.
Regards

Passenger airbag deactivator... mine hasn't got it either, have to do it with the key in the passenger door pillar with the door open

Great Looking car... nice M seats ..... next job phone Mr Joe at Sopers BMW and get a ZHP Gear stick for it....... makes the experience even more sports car and looks great with M Seats ............

Mmm, really nice colour!

I test drove/looked at a 2.5Si almost the same spec as that... they look really good in a nice full blue colour!

nice

I have used the passenger airbag deactivation once on mine when ferrying my niece around in her seat... so handy(ish) to have!

Thanks for the comments.

Been out again today - what a great car. The fit, finish, quality, sound, smell, going, stopping, handling, looking - everything *sigh* ... Bit of an improvement on the 320D SE I chopped in for it (although that was a great "functional" car).

Got friends visiting tomorrow, so plenty of opportunity to pop out for a quick run :driving:

For reference the other car is an MK Indy. Been on the road for 4 years, totally bonkers. Honda Fireblade engine, weighs 450kg - 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds with your bum about 6 inches off the road. Marvellous fun and still worth what I paid to have it built - can't be bad :)

My username on most Forum (Fora?) I frequent is derived from the MK number plate...

Cheers

Martin
