Picked her up at the weekend

I've already done an introductory post but to bring you up to speed I agreed a deal on an AUC facelift 2006 3.0Si Sport Roadster with a dealer down in London to collect at the end of the month. Having sold my old car in under 2 days I bought that forward to Friday last week.

Got down there from Leicestershire in good time, happy with the car etc when going through the paperwork it came time to pay and sods law there was a problem with my bank and a block had been placed on my card for no reason! You can imagine how I felt, trying to explain that I knew I had the money and to be fair to HSBC they were very apologetic over the phone! That only set me back about an hour and I still managed to miss the Friday afternoon traffic on the drive home (and what a drive home!)

Looks like I'm just in time for the change in weather now too, went out for a drive with the Mrs last night and loved every second, the noise from the straight 6 is addictive!

I've already removed part of the foam for the sound generator, my only other plans include fitting Cruise, which I really miss from my last car, cup holders (how much!) the wind deflector kit and possibly changing to Eibach's when the springs need replacing. I think I'd like those callipers sorted out too.

Just a quick iPhone shot from last night, being a photographer I have some really good ideas for a proper shoot with this car that I hopefully get time to do in June.

Congrats on the motor - totally agree that driving these cars is highly addictive  Kudos on getting the mod bug straight away :D

Lovely - congratulations !

The only other mod I would suggest is taking of the 3.0 Si badges along the sides... I think as a photographer you'll really appreciate how such a small change cleans up the lines of the car :D

Enjoy !

Cheers, can't believe I haven't been pulled up on the lack of mentioning a stubby yet! One will be ordered soon.

Thanks for the tip about the side badges too, not sure if I will remove them, I see what you mean about cleaning up the lines there. The 'Z' in the wing is what first drew me to this car a few years back.

Hello and welcome, the MV2's look so good on a roadster, hope you have lots and lots of fun :D

You think the cup holders are expensive, wait until you come to do the wind deflector, esp if your going Factory OEM.

Unfortunately I have seen the price for the oem wind deflector kit!! I won't be getting that for a couple of months I think!
