Hello there picking up my new (well new to me z4 tomorrow. All going well as not actually seen her yet only photos but wow. Excited much looks brand new. Need to get up the crack of dawn to get train to the garage 100 miles away. Hope it's sunny to get the roof down right away lol. Anyway a bit about me. I am a 33 year old forklift engineer originally from Central belt now up in north east coast (Montrose) only thing I am not looking forward to is the seagulls using car for target practise.

Welcome on board. Have a great day tomorrow. :driving:

Oh and don't worry the seagulls will never catch you.

Hi and welcome and well done for posting pictures prior to collection!

Let's hope that 8th July 2017 is a milestone in your car history.

Enjoy :driving:

Looks very good, what's the engine ? auto or manual ? If you're manual you may find the gear change a bit notchy compared to most cars, you may also find regulating clutch from 1st to 2nd can be a bit awkward causing 'head bob'.

If you find it a problem (not everyone does) then there's 3 things you can do if they haven't been done already:
1. Remove CDV
2. Change gearbox oil
3. Buy a weightier gear knob

This thread (and many others) tell you more:

Welcome to the forum OP - bonus points should be awarded for photos prior to collection!

Car looks great, and although it may be a bit of a trek tomorrow I'm sure you'll enjoy the drive home (go the long way)!

Both of mine were some distance away, and for me it made the whole experience a bit more special (although I had seen them before collection).

Have a great day.

All I can say is wow! The twisty roads make this car feel alive reminds me of a go kart so precise and direct. I absolutely adore the thing. Got every book with the car including the pairing code leaflet otherwise no way I would have worked out how to pair the phone lol. If this is how BMW make you feel I am raging I didn't buy one before now lol.

Glad you have been enjoying your Z4.

For some reason I had a spell of 3 Mercs back in the 90s. Don't know what I was thinking - even now I still don't feel old enough for another!
