Photoshop request, black grille

I changed mine to black with silver edge. Looks much better as I like the black look. :)

Beg to differ but I prefer the whole blacked out look on the basis the car is fairly new.

Looks very subtle IMO. :)
 
FWIW, I switch my 3.0 graphite grilles for ones with black gills and chrome surround. The black gills on a black Zed looks sharp, and the chrome surround adds the perfect amount of detail and contrast. Plus, I feel that the chrome surround helps tie into the graphite silver headlight housings and BMW emblem. The all flat black grilles look a bit cheap to me on a black car. Don't know why... just me.

If you do go all black, it would be worth considering black headlight housings and smoking the side reflectors as others have said.

You and I have essentially identical cars... so here's a shot of the snout. Cheers.

I'm liking the black/chrome too. Infact, I went all black on mine, but am pretty sure I'm going to put the chrome rings back on once the weather breaks. The all black just disappears.
 
Well i've decided that i'm definitley going to go for black with chrome :thumbsup:

I may spray my own tomorrow, if i make a mess i'll buy a new one!

The black and black look's nice, but i've got carbon fiber badges now, and am having my window's tinted soon so i think it'll look too much.
 
I think what we need is a different color ring. I'm not a huge fan of chrome, but I'm putting mine back on. But it's the only chrome on the car. Wonder how a silver or grey ring would look? Something that would tie into the wheels more.
 
Please don't paint your brakes red! You don't have brembo/AP's So why make them stick out!!

Grill looks ok. I think it's nicer with the silver. breaks it up a bit.
 
Personaly like them plain black and would go with the black headlights to and as above get rid of those bumper reflectors

It can be sprayed but may chip.
I simply found someone selling their old grills from a non 3.0 Z4, since they all have the black centers.
Paid £20 and I have the originals to go back on if I ever need to sell :thumbsup:

Well i thought there was some black paint in the shed but turns out there isn't, and as i won't be using my car today i'll have to wait to do the grille. As Herminator said, there's a chance it could flake so i'm a little wary, anybody got one to sell me to save me the hassle? :)

Gonna jump in the shower soon and then make a start on the calipers... :|
