I'll post some photos with descriptions of my country here. There are many tourists coming to Slovenia, from UK also, so some of you guys might be interested

I'll start with most recent.

This weekend we visited a cave named Babja jama (baba is a derogatory term for a woman, in old language also a term for some kind of a witch, so the name is kind of Woman's cave or Withch's cave). It is located close by a small town Most na Soči where an artificial lake on the Soča river lies, needed for a hydro power plant. Some my remember I posted some pictures of this lake already before on this forum, of course with a Z4 on them
Babja jama was also an old religious sanctuary. Just in front of it there is a railway bridge, dating in early 1900's, built by Austrohungarian. And below that bridge there is some beautiful scenery of the Soča river. This is a very scenery railway from Jesenice to Nova Gorica, can recommend a train trip here.

A look from above it all. A railway and the main road between Tolmin and Nova Gorica is seen from here.

I'll continue with some photos of the Most na Soči lake as I was already talking about it in the post above.
I don't remember if I have any photos of the lake without a car :D

As in Mussorgsky's Pictures At An Exhibition - The Hut of Baba Yaga.

As well as the orchestral version, I stongly recommend the one by Emerson, Lake and Palmer; I know, i'm showing my age

Some fantastic scenery there x-driver.

Mrs Tidy went to Lake Bled a few years ago and loved it.

Big mistake telling this lot…

Been there for work - many moons back

Lake Bled is fabulous

Even skied in kranjska gora

Gorgeous place 👍

There, I knew there was a name for it, couldn't remember it :D

Lake Bled also lies next to the mentioned railway, so there's a proof of my recommendation for it :D

Speaking of, from Bled the railway continues towards Bohinj, an area surrounded by numerous mountains, including the Slovenian highest - Triglav (2864m). The heart of Bohinj however is the Bohinj lake, which I'll show next. The railway doesn't actually pass by the lake, you'll have to step off in Bohinjska Bistrica and then head to Ribčev Laz to visit the lake.

The lake from a top of a mountain (I might post some pictures from the top of it later)

The lake with Triglav on its left, you can't miss it.

Let's jump on a 2054m high mountain called Vrh nad Škrbino (it's a funny name, translates as A peak above the Dent). I already posted 2 pictures taken from there in the post above, so I'll just add some more. From here you can see all the way to the Adriatic Sea, a huge chimney in Monfalcone, Italy can be seen, as well the church in Piran, Slovenia. A view far inside Italy is offered from here, an endless plain and further north the Dolomites.
It's not a tourist point however, this is a proper mountain hike.

Left from the bench are the Dolomites far away. On the right there is mount Krn (known from WW1).

Not the most quality photo but there is the chimney (the vertical line right from the church).
