Had a great day and thankfully, from what I saw and experience, our small group of 'General' users who'd tracked before all drove impeccably. :thumbsup:
My mates 16 yr old lad tagged along and after an initial hiccup involving getting a form faxed to his mum for a signature...he was good to PAX lap. He had a nice steady start with me but then had a fast session in the somewhat faster yellow 'monster' (Thanks again). He doesn't generally travel too badly but too long at a fast pace often means the lad is queezy. He can easily manage a lap of the 'ring so he figured a session at Cadwell would be a doddle....it wasn't. His ability to stick it out for 20 minutes diminished through the day until 10 minutes was all he could manage. I probably managed about 100 out of 140 minutes so not that bad really. The hanging about at the end for the best part of an hour until his last session queezyness had sorted itself out....

I must admit to being a little apprehensive about 'binning the motor' but forgot about that totally on the track and had a real BLAST!!
Cadwell staff were excellent very helpful. Other car drivers friendly and plenty of chat with the bikers also. The weather even turned out to be glorious.
My son had his first drive of the Z (20 year old not paying that sort of insurance for him on the road!) quickly got the hang of the car even if we did a bit of grass tracking in his second session!! :cry:
Down side forgot my camera :thumbsdown: but got some Go-Pro footage :thumbsup: but needs editing before posting. Thanks for all the photo's taken guys.

Have stripped front brakes this evening Red stuff EBC pads don't look good to be honest. (i'll post a thread) Have returned Green stuff pads. Front off side strut also now leaking :( oil................................................................ so chance to upgrade!!!! :)

Hi, I've just joined so saying hello.

I don't own a z4 before I start.

I was at this track day in my corsa sharing the driving with a friend. Thought i'd join to say to say I had a great day and all the z4's looked ace on track. Always thought of these cars as a soft top cruiser but they seemed to handle themself pretty well on the track.

This was my second trackday here and remember the yellow z4 with the massive alcons being there before.
 
Great to meet everyone there on the day. Many thanks to Simon for getting the day together and for the passenger ride. It's good to get taken round by someone who knows the track and how to drive. Must improve my technique!
Very impressed with the 35iS power and handling, not to mention the DCT box! Here's to next time, and maybe a few more Zedheads will join us.

I was very impressed with Simons DCT box too, beast of a car! I couldn't stop smiling to myself when I had a ride in it, Simon defiantly knows how to drive :D
 
James, the Corsa (black one ??) was going really well. If you do another TD, dont go with the novices. You and the car were capable of holding your own in the general cars and on Monday there were less than half the number in general so you wouldn't have been held up so much
 
Thanks for the comments guys. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and its good to meet up with other Zed owners.
We will have to organise another for summer 2014 and hopefully get a few more Zeds on the track.

Yeah that was me, however I was sharing the driving with two friends who have never drove my car or been on a track before so thought the novice group would be best as I didn't want them out on track with more experienced drivers just incase. :)
