I have now confirmed the details with MSVT for a BMW Z4 track day on Monday 22nd July 2013. I managed to secure a group discount.
Prices start at £89 depending on whether you wish to add extras shown on the booking form.

NOVICE DAY- For Z4-Forum members only
The Track Day
There will be 6 or 7 x 15 minute sessions throughout the day exclusive to us arranged as follows.

Cars 15 minutes
Bikes 15 minutes
Z4 session 15 minutes
Bikes 15 minutes

A tannoy system keeps everybody right throughout the day so you don't miss a session. There is a canteen serving breakfast, dinner and drinks all day and a photographer taking loads of pics around the track.

There is a petrol pump at the track but if I remember the price per litre was a little higher than normal, so try and fill up somewhere close before you arrive to save a little.

Insurance

Insurance is not included in the price. Insurance is not compulsary but you can arrange on a knock for knock basis.
Check with your company as some include it free. I'm with Classicline and it's included.
You could also get a quote from Chris at Competition Car Insurance 0115 9682442.

Other Information
All cars will need to have tow hook attached incase of breakdown and drivers will need helmets which can be hired at the track. If driving with the roof down arms and legs to be covered and drivers must wear gloves. Apart from that everything is straight forward as i doubt anybody will be over the 105db sound limit.

:cry: am not in UK on that date, otherwise I would have been there! Remember the pics (there is a pro photographer at the track, pretty good value IIRC).

For the petrol, if you want to fill up on the way in, the closest Shell selling v-power is in Horncastle (Spilsby Rd, Horncastle, Lincolnshire LN9 6NH) otherwise you're into standard fuels in Louth.
 
If you have never done a track day before don't worry you can go at your own pace and have some fun. :driving:

Not sure if I can afford it yet but might pop down and say hello as I'm only 20 minutes away. :)

If you check the first post give Chris a call for a quote for the one-off day. I changed to classicline because they include track days but are a little dearer in the first place.
 
Do i understand it that we are likely to get 6-7 15 minute sessions out in on the track?

Got my first track day this Tuesday at Oulton, I'll see how I find that, and might be keen to book this.

Yes the schedule is for 7 sessions but when i was there last time there was a bit of a delay as someone came off a bike and we lost a session at the end of the day.
Have a great time at Oulton. I'm sure you will enjoy it and want more :)
 
Hi, Is this track day strictly for novices? I am still learning the ropes at my old age, but not quite a novice. Would love to come along with my Z as it has been a while since I drove Cadwell Park.

I have only done one track day and loved it so much I booked a few more and arranged this one. It is open to all Zeds. I expect a mixture of track users but mainly novices. MSVT run a tight ship to keep us all as safe as possible. To be honest I felt my car was a lot safer than leaving it in the supermarket car park. Everyone going the same way and pulling over to let faster users passed is a safer environment than on the roads.
 
I had a great time at Oulton...

But, realised the date for this is only 2 days before I go to Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, So I think I'll have to miss out :(
 
I had my second track day today, Cadwell again. The MG club were there with some great looking roadsters. All ages of cars and drivers and looked like a good day by all. There was 25 of them. We need a few more Zeds to commit to this and make our day as fabulous as theirs.
