Photo request: Style 135 Wheels (MV2) with Painted calipers

These guys are saying that make your brakes run hot / degrade quicker:

Dont know if its true or not but they dont recommend it..

Could be truth behind it! If you're creating an air jacket inside the caliper cover and adding sickaflex, acting as insulation to the caliper, it will reduce any air cooling effect on the caliper.

If you have a stock disk and a cheap pad not designed to run higher temps, with standard non braided hoses, the effects could be pretty scary!
That would only be in extreme cases though.

I'm now stuck between Silver and Black anyway so my mind is getting closer.

Did mine Gold on my old 3.0si coupe..... Thought it looked quite smart..

You can just make them out in the pics...

Looks good, not too sure if it would stand out a bit much on a black car though.

Stick to painting.

Mighty Car Mods put them on their civic build.

I've found a local company who will do it for a reasonable price. I will see if its a proper job and report back..

Bit late if you have already bought paint but I went for hammerite blue when I painted mine last year. Did two coats and they look a lot better than before. Not the best pic but the only one i have.

These were done on my old 3 series before it ended up in a ditch. (Nothing to do with the brakes however)
