phone dock remove

hi,
how to remove the dock, there must be screws underneath, because I can't lift the center console

you need to get a trim removal tool right at the front and force it up. the inner plastic bit (with the white arrow on) does not come off.

just keep trying. it takes a bit of force and you have to get the spot just right. once the front is prised free starting round the side to pry the rest of it off.

do you mean to force the phone cradle up only or the whole console with the cupholders?

Phone cradle only. There will be 2 more screws underneath it. Once you take them out the whole tray will come out.

As Gadget Junky says there are 2 screws under the phone holder and its held in tight.
From what I remember there are between 6 and 8 one way clips that hold it in.
I think the other option other than forcing it out with trim tools would be removing the whole centre console and releasing the clips from underneath.

When you get the phone cradle out, there is a rubber mat available from BMW to fit the space thats left.

I have exactly the same in mine, cup holders and phone module. If anyone has the empty storage space and wants mine, then I’m happy to swap if it’s a simple thing to do (I haven’t tried). I am fed up with the lack of space and never use the cup holders.

I couldn't remove the dock, broke it a bit though
