Yeah, coz Flash is such modern technology! :wink: Even Adobe has admitted it's had it's day and are not developing the Flash mobile player anymore (on any platform)

I don't hate Android, in fact I quite like some of the latest lit, but the platform is in my mind a bit fragmented and the handsets don't feel as well made. I also am not a fan of the bigger devices Samsung seem to be putting out, they almost seem like small tablets rather than phones. If you do like bigger devices though then you could make a very good case for some of the latest Android kit.

Get a bit fed up with some of the over-the-top defensiveness (of both platforms) though. It's clear that both IOS devices and Android devices have strengths and weaknesses, it's bordering on childish the way some people defend their platform of choice.

and no you can't tether from iPhone...

you can - you just make a hotspot and connect ipad/comp etc via wifi. Most mobile providers now include tethering as part of your monthly data allowance on 4s contracts

O/T: To be fair, from the bits of HTML5/CSS3 I've played with I'd be ever less likely to use flash in future. I hate with a passion sites entirely developed in flash, IMHO it's place was to do small highlight features like slideshows on a well built page. When you see stuff like Google Body built without flash it's quite impressive

Back on topic, stuff like X% of people regret not buying the other I'd not agree with, I reckon whichever the OP buys he'll probably like and be more than happy with.

But out of interest, if you have a phone thats contract-expired and like me, can't be arsed to upgrade something that already works fine (its a phone in case you'd forgotten LOL), check your actual usage on your online bill because I suspect many people are nowhere near their contracted usage, so reverting to a SIM-only contract can pay off. I more than halved my bill by doing just that.

Oh and if you live in a shite signal area, the Vodafone Sure Signal thingy works great if you have an existing broadband connection - just make sure you have a 3G phone.

Or you could marry someone like my wife, who takes 18 months to work out how her phone actually operates and so won't upgrade, which means I get her to order a new phone and just whack my SIM into it LOL.

I swapped to GiffGaff a couple of years ago, so I just buy the iPhone when it comes out and slap in my GiffGaff SIM... suits my usage (99.9% data... hate speaking to people!) and I get to upgrade whenever I like.

The way it works in our family is the wife gets my old phone (in this case the IP4), my Mum gets her cast-off (IP 3GS) and my Dad gets her old phone (N95)... when the IP5 comes out the rest of the phones just get passed along the line.
