Phone call from BMW

0845 478 9714 - anyone had any/get phone calls from these?

I left my number with BMW Batemans in Grange about a month ago for them to get a touch when they get a used Z4 in, but other than that had no correspondance with BMW, yet keep getting phonecalls every few days off that number which google tells me is BMW apparently. They seem to have a knack of ringing at the most inconvenient times possible so as of yet I've not even managed to pick the phone up to them yet.

Any ideas what it is?

Your details are now probably on one of their marketing databases, probably looking to follow up on your sales enquiry. I'd give the dealer you initially contacted another call and ask for your details to be removed if you'd rather not have calls not relating to your enquiry.

Whenever I give my contact details to companies now, I always explicitly ask them not to put me on any of their marketing databases.

I suspect that is the case, even though i didnt get my car serviced at the nearest bm dealer they have my details and have already txt me to say my mot will be due soon.... i went to another bm dealer as the cost of the service was 200 cheaper which they said they would match if i got it in writing,,,, i thought why bother and went to the other dealer... trouble is once they have your number they will be like a dog with a bone
