it looks very clean but 8 grand for a 80k 2005 2.5si is a bit salty imho some nice e89s available for less

Yeah that’s what I was thinking, I think due to the colour it’s put £2k+ on the price.

If it’s was 3lt......

Maybe but im not sure that colour is what you could call desirable.. its very marmite tbh and its not for me.. does have its fans tho, Id say thats more a dealer thats chancing on someone loving it.. he'll have a long wait tho imho at that price

I agree with [ref]mr.tourette[/ref], you have to really want that colour and bicolour leather interior - I doubt anyone has that combination on their indifferent list. It might be rare, but I suspect the target market is small.

It reminds me of this Porsche Boxster, which has been advertised for a few months: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202009294341518

I think it’s still salty for an 06 2.5si as well :o

I love the paint colour and must admit if I had seen this car for up for sale before I got my E89 I may well have been tempted to have look but I would have to change the interior. But agree too much money and some nice E89s available in the same price range

Yes I must agree it’s a bit on the high side and just remember just because it’s a rare colour it doesn’t make it desirable! I certainly don’t like the colour, however I’m sure some will.

I really like the colour and the interior, but I wouldn't pay a few grand over the odds for it!

A few hundred maybe, but only because it could be some time until there is another one with that combination.

Knew someone that bought a birdshit yellow M3 and paid extra for the Phoenix Yellow and was told that it was a very rare colour so the trade in value would be excellent (BMW Main Dealer in Glasgow). When it came to trade it in there was no chance it would make the book price as nobody wanted that colour.

Also met a bloke who has an e85 3.0 SI who seriously thought that Phoenix Yellow was a unique colour. Aye so it isnae!

Funny thing is Phoenix yellow is one of the most desirable on the e46 m3, probably because it was one of the launch colours

Might be the most desirable and each to their own and all that. Not for me though.

If you wanted a rare colour even though it's honking then an E46 M3 then Oxford Green Metallic is the one to go for as there was only 429 in that colour worldwide.

Worldwide 84383 cars sold.
Phoenix Yellow... 3723
Alpine White... 4171
Silver Grey Metallic... 8648
Titanium Silver... 18690

What was BMW thinking painting a lovely looking car that color, I'm all for yellow cars but this is just  lol. Recon its overpriced, a lot say the 2.5l will never appreciate like the 3.0 engined z4's plus think there's a better market door coupes rather than soft tops.

I like phoenix yellow, always have, but that interior is....... an acquired taste. As agreed over priced for a 2.5.
