Are these just absolute junk or have I just been unlucky once again?

This is the third unit I’ve had and it’s only three months old and has mechanically failed - it’s just what’s needed on holiday - reverted to plan B Ie a toothbrush from the supermarket

Oral B when I’m home!
 
As a (retired!) dentist, Oral B every time. I even have to buy my own now :(
I think about 99% of dentists use them.

I have an ancient Oral B somewhere at home I might resurrect - or probably buy new.

Are there any features I should look out for? I don’t want to be mugged by advertisements again!
 
Oral B vote from me but they don't seem to last forever and drain fairly quickly. My wife's one is the same but seems to stay charged longer.

I suspect that is because women just hold the brush still and carry on talking. Same job but no charge needed. :rofl:

Not really, the more expensive ones have more fancy bells and whistles but the basic ones do the same job for a lot less. The early ones suffered from "memory effect" on the rechargeable cells inside, hence the lack of holding charge after a few years use, which seems to be less of a problem with the newer models.

I had a Sonicare for years and seemed OK, never really gave it much thought really, it carried on until the shaft started over vibrating and went loose :?

Using an Oral now :thumbsup:

Just bying the cheapest Oral B nowadays, I used to change the battery on the more expensive one but it was a faff.

:rofl: One vote for Oral-B, battery seems to last forever. Although a top of the line model, never needed the extra features.
 
Sonicare fan here as well - interesting about the dentist comment - my dentist recommends and is always very impressed when i tell them I'm using a Sonicare.

The same comment on another thread involving stockings / holdups killed it when we didn't get any pics. Suspect the same outcome here :x

You can't use the old E89 wheel brush toothbrush Ronk.....! Have SOME standards for chuffs sake..... :poke: :evil:

Congrats on retiring :driving: I’m current, and still Oral B all the way. The new iO range are really impressive and way better than the previous generations, but also really expensive when they’re not a freebie :rofl:
