Peugeot RCZ

What other Peugeot has become collectable ?

A half decent 205 GTi is still worth having but most are well and truly finished..

My thoughts are like any other French oddball car, it will fade into obscurity exactly where it belongs.

+1 The Renault GTA was far more exotic, "the French 911" and has a following 30 years later, a very small following though because like many French cars few could be kept on the road and were a bit crap anyway. Worthwhile Peugeots? The GTi and Gti16 models from the 80's or 90's were a hoot to drive but badly nailed together. I've only ever sat in an RCZ but it felt cramped and pointless, no sporting credentials, Peugeot reliability and poor-man's TT image, great on on a discounted PCP but not a good used prospect or modern classic

Its a wannabe TT that looks a complete mess :o
The only reasons anyone with half a motoring brain would buy one would have to be price combined with a severe concussion .
I can't even look at one without shaking my head ,
Shawna summed it up in less words than me

It never really had the power it needed really. With a striking design they should've given it serious performance (RS3/A45 AMG/1 or 2M sort of levels).

I've seen three new TT's this week. That front end..... . To be fair it's not that bad but it's a very colour sensitive design. There's a big article on it Evo this month. Basically it's better to drive than the last one but still can't hold a candle to a proper drivers car. Still, most people who'll buy one will be more interested in their TFT display than they will it's driving ability.

But the chassis can't handle 270bhp properly...

I can understand that, that binnacle display is very impressive - I want it, but I don't think I'd buy a car just to get it

I had a 3 month old RCZ on hire. Couldn't say it was particularly good. Handbrake played up, gearbox popped out of second a fair bit and it just felt like it could have been so much more..
