Very good ad - I'd be surprised if the 208 GTI matches the fun-factor of the 205 GTI but we can live in hope...

Now that is good advertising. Reminds me of some of the old saab adverts "born from jets" but obviously less special effects, probably trying to take inspiration from the latest jag ads as well.
 
If only the car actually sounded like that.

The 208 GTi is certainly a return to form for Peugeot but they really need to stop dragging up the 205 GTi all the time. It's a rod for their own back that they keep actually bringing out the cupboard themselves, blowing the dust off then handing to the motoring press so they can beat the new car with it.

The 208 GTi is really good but I would;t swap my 205 GTi for one if offered.
 
On that note. I've stripped my 205 down to the bare bones and am about half way through a full nut and bolt rebuild. During the strip down I only had 1 single bolt snap. Even then there was no requirement to drill it out as the plate it screwed into could be easily replaced.

1 of the first cars to have a full galvanised body and almost every nut, bolt and bracket was BZP'd.
