Hi Guys.. not sure if this should be in the E89 bit... but i've had my z since the end of Oct E89 2.3sdrive...

i'm having terrible trouble getting petrol into the thing... i've been to various garages.. different pumps etc etc..

they all do the same thing.. just constant clicking off..

tried, different angles.. pump all the way in, only just in......

so is this a known problem ? is there a fix ?

car isnt much use without the GO juice in it !!!
 
I have the same issue. I tend to just squeeze the trigger lightly so that the petrol goes in slowly. When you are standing there for 15 minutes filling the tank, it does make people think you have a large tank! :D
 
Yeah it frustrates me no end, some garages locally i just don't bother going to now, seems to depend on the speed of delivery of the pump. My nearest BP garage just cuts off every few seconds, tescos seems ok.
 
+1 - first time i filled up fine. Second time I drove off with 3/4 of a tank because it cut out early. Now I leave the door open and watch the guage to make sure i get it full.
