Petrol Prices!

5p increase in 2 weeks here :(

Increase of VAT, Increase of Oil Price and the Decrease of the £/$ being the main culprit... At least that is on the rise again finally!
 
So, we have speculators pushing up the prices,the crooked government adding tax to it willy nilly and wait.......a budget coming up later this month Sometimes I wish we were as millitant as the French,they'd have blockaded everything by now.We can't as this slimy government has brought in "terrorist laws" which can be used against us if were to have another fuel protest. I bet communist russia had less restrictions placed on it. I hate this government so much, I despise every lying one of them. Cnuts...... :headbang:

If you hate the government so much then move to another country, its a typical attitude you seem to have (I suspect) and share with the British- that the grass is greener everywhere else. All country's have their good and bad points, I just got back from Brazil, over there everything (inc petrol & food) is UK prices....but they earn alot less money....

Also their govenment has many issues, like allowing Fevelas in the middle of Rio etc.
 
I paid £1.41 a litre for 95 RON in Chelsea the other day. Felt like stabbing the garage owner quite frankly, 20p premium on the already outrageous price.

Don't fill up in Chelsea...
 
I think I may know that garage.. Id rather have pushed mine empty towards the A4 than pay that. Was it a £5 minimum, lol.
 
If the petrol prices are largely made up of tax, and if the petrol companies make so little money on petrol - then who pockets the difference if one petrol station sells at £1.15 and another at £1.50 ?
 
Hopefully all the poor people (who drive French cars and 2 litre Z4s) wont be able to afford to drive so much and the roads will be a lot quieter :D
 
BP's Ultimate went to 129.9p last night near me! Might as well say 130p a litre now! Now that IS getting silly!!

Actually that's almost robbery!! :x

mind you... I never fill up at BP, despite it being my nearest station. Their prices are always way way higher than anyone else's.
 
Texaco is the one that the price hikes are the most near me. That's more to do with the owner of the garages than the petrol companies though!
 
I hope the petrol stations don't run into the same problem they did the last time it went this high - which was their pumps would automatically cut off at £100 or whatever the 'floor' limit was.

It really pissed me off the amount of times I had to short-fill the M5 (90L tank) purely due to the automatic cut-off, and then when I went to finish the fill up (after paying for the first one), my credit/debit card would be rejected for 'suspicious activity' for having more fuel so quickly.

I feel most sorry for the ordinary working man who has an old banger, and needs a car for work etc :cry:
 
I think its getting non-viable to even run a bloody 1.4i Astra that does 37-45mpg. 0-60 15 seconds and a top speed of 99mph!!!

I should know as i was running my wife's all lastweek. Put in at least £100 of fuel, and it was all Wolverhampton or in and around Birmingham.. :x

But what do you do? Gotta get somewhere, somehow...

I'm gonna chop in my wifes car for a 2.0 GT TDi Golf. And i might buy a banger ford focus and run it into the ground. Keep the Z4 for weekends only..
