Sorry to burst your bubble (again) but they are illegal too! :wink:

Everything is illegal except for the BS 145e standard black font. It's so the authorities can keep an eye on us all with their ANPR cameras. Cameras struggle to read anything different, so they ain't allowed (unless your car is really old.

They always seem to have time to stop and fine me whatever is going on in our wonderful world


After issue I did say there was no fucking chance they’d seen the mis-spacing at the speed I’d passed them at :rofl:


The Covid comment was because I refused to take the ticket because they couldn’t provide me with details/proof of their sanitation regime as I was shielding (I kid you not, I out and out refused to take it for that reason to piss them off, they were wasting my time so I felt it was only fair to reciprocate ) I told them I’d take a picture of it if they’d stand 2 meters away and I’d use it for anything I needed to

I have ditched the idea of the space, not worth the hassle TBHH. I didn't realise the gel plates were also illegal. They are being sold stating they are legal.

It seems it is a very grey area and 4D plates seem more grey than 3D.

It’s worth bearing in mind that you don’t own the registration
You only have the permission to use it!

That permission can be revoked.

I've had my plate spaced illegally for years. Even had the cops directly behind me but as long as you don't drive like a tw*t, I always think they have more important stuff to deal with.
My plate has standard characters with no logos to add fuel to the fire.

Never been pulled in for it yet....approx 15years now I reckon.
